LONDON: British model and actress Elizabeth Hurley has already married her fiance, the Indian businessman Arun Nayar, and the star-studded event of March 3 will just be a blessing, the Daily Mirror said.

Hurley, 41, and Nayar, 42, wed in a civil service at Sudeley Castle, in Gloucestershire, on March 2 with two witnesses, the tabloid said, quoting an unnamed insider as saying, “They wanted their wedding alone.”

Saturday’s event has attracted massive media interest, with the couple reportedly having sold exclusive rights for the ceremony to Hello!

But the Mirror said guests would instead be attending a glitzy party. “They wanted to enjoy their wedding night alone,” an unnamed source was quoted as saying. It said only about half-a-dozen people were in on the secret. “She lives her life in a goldfish bowl and this was a very precious moment. Now they are having a big, public blessing with all their celebrity friends.”

Hurley and Nayar are to travel to Mumbai for the Indian leg of the wedding.
