The very thought of owning a genie creates a flutter in my heart. It could be anybody’s dream to have someone who would in a second fulfil all his/her desires. There could be nothing more fortunate for me than having a genie to accomplish my dreams and wishes.

If I had a genie, the very first thing I would ask from it would be to boost my memory so that whatever I read would never be erased from my mind.

Secondly, I would ask it to bless me with a positive attitude so that failures do not distract me from achieving the target that I set for myself.

Then, I would ask it to grant me an immense inclination towards hard work so that I never get attracted to take a short cut towards anything in life.

Last, but not the least, I would ask it to bless me with a big heart which has feelings for everybody, be it rich or poor; humility, so that I never get a false ego, and gratitude towards God, my parents and all my teachers who have contributed in making me a good person. Anybody who hears my wishes would be a little surprised because normally we would

wish for nice gifts and good results without hard work. But these things are temporary. What I would like to ask from a genie would be something that would shape my character and stay with me for my entire life.
