KATHMANDU: With the lowest unique bid of Rs 22.32, Roshna Adhikari, a resident of Lokanthali, took home IFB home appliances — washing machine, dish washer, clothes dryer and micro-wave oven worth Rs 1,44,809 in total, in THT Live’s weekly reverse auction Ooltobolee.

Adhikari was handed over the prizes at an informal function organised at the APCA House on March 3”

“I am so happy to win these home appliances that I won in the bid,” said a happy Adhikari, who is a housewife and added, “It is really nice to win such household things which will make my life easier.”

As she was attracted by the goods in the auction, she said she “enjoyed placing the bids for hours”.

By winning the auction Adhikari said she is convinced that Ooltoboee is “really fair”.

Ooltobolee is a ‘reverse bidding’ weekly auction where one can place bids through SMS during the stipulated bidding time. The subscribers of NTC, Mero Mobile or UTL who are 18 years and above can participate in it. The one sending the lowest unique bid becomes the winner. The bidding time for next week starts at 7:00 am on March 7.
