Jackson a no-show at “Thank You” party
SANTA YNEZ: Michael Jackson was a no-show last night at what was billed as a celebration of thanks for his fans and supporters at the Chumash Indian Casino in Santa Ynez. The crowd cheered as Jackson’s mother, Katherine, and sister, Janet, arrived to the song “I’ll Be There.” Tito Jackson performed at the event. Others spotted at the party included defence attorney Robert Sanger and Jackson’s magician friend, who calls himself Majestic Magnificent. One of the members of the jury that acquitted Jackson of child molestation charges also was there. Pauline Coccoz said she was still emotionally drained, calling her jury service “the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.” — HNS
