BOLLYWOOD: Deciding to remake a French film in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif is all set to wear the producer’s hat.

Reportedly, she watched a French flick a few days back and liked it so much that she decided to finance the film herself and also bought the rights to remake the film.

But the actress is still not ready to reveal the film’s name but it is known that she herself will play the lead role. Very eager about her venture, Katrina says, “It’s a huge hit of 2006. I don’t want to name it because then it will immediately be picked up by others and they’ll get down to making their own versions of the film before I have even finalised the deal. I’m very serious about the film and my negotiations are on. And if all goes well, I’ll have the rights with me very soon”.

“My role in the film has dark shades to it. I play a conniving, ambitious woman. It’s a gloriously grey character, the kind I haven’t played before,” she adds.

“It is very important for me to find vehicles that will challenge me as an actor. And I am willing to create opportunities for myself”, says Katrina when asked about what urged her to turn into a producer.
