Knickknacks etched in time!

Beverly Thompson staged her first ever exhibition ‘Odds and Ends’, an exhibit of etchings at Park Gallery on 22 February. Director of French School, Sebastian Austin inaugurated the exhibition. “Etching is a medium that every art student has to learn in their due process of learning art”, explained the curator Neera Joshi Pradhan.Etching falls in the impressionistic form of art, which captures personal impressions of the artist on landscapes, the people and their culture, architecture and cultural and religious subjects exclusively from the artist’s point of view. Beverly Thomson is a Canadian and has lived in Nepal for over four years. Her paintings arrest some of her indelible impressions during her tours. Sunflower, Prayer Wheel, Mount Kailash, Maple Bay, Bougainvillea, Rana House, Mandala, Rocky mountains are among her many subjects.
The exhibition will continue till March 4 .
