Knightley’s Atonement gown for charity

LONDON:

Keira Knightley’s Atonement dress is being auctioned for charity. The stunning green silk evening gown worn by the British actress as Cecilia Tallis in the romantic World War II movie will be sold in an online auction to raise money for Variety — The Children’s Charity of Southern California.

The auction opened online at www.clothesoffourback.org on February 1 with a minimum bid of $1,000. It is due to close on March 1.

The description on the website reads, “... The backless dress was taken directly from the production’s archives and is one of a handful that was made specifically for Ms Knightley to wear during filming. Multiples were fashioned because of the fragility of the dress.”
