KATHMANDU: Kristen Stewart is Diana, Princess of Wales, in the new movie Spencer by Pablo Larrain.

The American film production and distribution company, NEON, posted a fresh look for Stewart as Diana in its Twitter account on Wednesday. This has surprised many people as unexpected from Stewart.

Directed by Larrain and written by Steven Knight, Spencer is said to be based on the life of Princess Diana after she decides to leave Prince Charles, heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, which has been marked as an important phase in her life.

The mother of two -- Prince William and Prince Harry -- makes this turn in her life as she is out on Christmas holidays with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.

People across the globe have expectations from Stewarts' role in Spencer after her first glimpse as Princess Diana started making splashes in social media.

The cast includes Sally Hawkins, Sean Harris, Timothy Spall, along with Stewart.

The film is produced by Juan de Dios Larraín for Fabula Films, Jonas Dornbach and Janine Jackowski for Komplizen Film and BAFTA winner and Oscar nominee Paul Webster for Shoebox Films.
