Lady Gaga quit drugs at 20

LONDON: Lady Gaga had stopped taking drugs and didn't have time for men by the time she was 20, her friend has revealed.

Despite her claims to a life of wild partying and casual sex, the 'Bad Romance' singer's best pal DJ Lady Starlight claims she was solely focused on her music when she first met her at her 20th birthday party.

Starlight said in an interview with Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was obvious even then that Gaga was going to be famous. She was incredibly focused on exactly what she wanted to do.

"I know she's talked about doing lots of drugs but bythe time we met she had stopped all that. She didn't even have time for boyfriends."

Lady Starlight, 33, also revealed she and Lady Gaga, 23, always experimented with fashion and tried to create the wildest stage outfits they could dream up - though they would often not last through a show.

She added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "We were very creative but the outfits were often stuck together with glue. Sometimes they fell apart when we were on stage."

Among Gaga's more outrageous comments have been her comparison between making music and having "mind-blowing, irresponsible, condomless sex" and that despite being bisexual she separates love and sex and prefers "male sexuality" .

Lady Starlight also added that her friends initially shocked parents are now fully supportive of her career.
