Lending hand to learning hands
Kathmandu: As a part of the Magic Pencil Exhibition that has been going on since February, British Council Nepal organised a Children’s Book Illustration Workshop on April 17. The aim of the workshop was to help children develop skills on their writing, illustration and creating storybooks. Qualified Nepali illustrators, Punyasheel Gautam and Gyanendra Banks conducted the workshop. Sangha Bhattarai, events and public relations manager, British Council, said,
“We had invited schools through various media for the participation for this workshop and there are 40 students from various schools. The students are divided into two groups according to their ages.” Magic Pencil is an exhibition of artwork by Britain’s best children’s book illustrators. This exhibition is on at the British Council from February and will continue till May 6. British Council is also going to organise a workshop on cartoons on April 24. — HNS
