Lohan lands fashion consultant role

LONDON: Lindsay Lohan has landed a top job in the fashion industry - she been named as a style consultant for French design house Emanuel Ungaro.

Her appointment as artistic adviser comes shortly after bosses replaced the brand's top designer, Esteban Cortazar, who was reportedly furious about having the Mean Girls star attached to the luxurious brand.

Lohan tells WWD.com, "To be in a position where I'm working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand."

Ungaro executives are equally as delighted with Lohan's appointment. CEO Mounir Moufarrige adds, "Everything we're going to get is going to be a plus. I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big."

Lohan already has experience in the fashion industry - her leggings line 6126 hit U.S. stores in 2008 and the actress is planning to launch a full range of clothes within the next two years.
