HOLLYWOOD: Former Saved By The Bell star Mario Lopez is sickened by the thought of romancing his best pal Eva Longoria Parker, because it would be "incestuous".

The Latin actor's close relationship with the Desperate Housewives beauty has prompted rumours the stars were boyfriend and girlfriend in the past, before Longoria Parker married her basketball player beau Tony Parker in 2007.

But Lopez insists they were never more than friends, and he loves the actress like a sister.

He says, "We get asked that a lot but I've known her for a long time and it would seem incestuous.

"We're both the same culture, same age, our families both know each other, so we go back. It would be weird. It would never happen."
