Madhavan gets poetic over Konkona

MUMBAI:

R Madhavan, who has completed Rituparno Ghosh’s bilingual film Sunglass, is going gaga over his co-star Konkona Sen Sharma and says he is so impressed with her that he can write poems on her.

Madhavan said, “We had a blast, especially, since I got to work with Konkona. I can write poems about Konkona. Directors say I’m a natural before the camera, but nothing compared with her. She just comes and takes over. Konkana is in both the Hindi and Bengali versions of Sunglass, she got to work twice as hard whereas I just sat back and watched her after giving my shots for the Hindi version.

“Sunglass was a funfest. I didn’t even know how the shooting swooshed by,” he added. He giggles at the memory of playing a guy who gets into an extramarital affair after five years of marriage.

“That’s what I like about acting the best. It gives you a chance to do things you’d never dare do in real life. I can never even dream of being unfaithful to my wife . Never! But I often wonder what it feels like to have an extramarital affair. I got my answer in Sunglass.”
