The much awaited and longed for winter vacation in finally here. Students need not worry about getting up early in the cold winter mornings and going to school. While it may

be fun for most to just laze around, it is always good to use your time wisely and do something beneficial. As different people have different interests here are a few places you can go to and learn something new.

Pragya Kunja School

They are currently conducting a three week long programme which includes various creative activities like singing, dancing, sports, arts and crafts and others. The classes are conducted from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm and are 50 minutes each. According to Meera Shrestha, principal of the school, “We try to involve children in various activities according to their talent and capability. We let them practice and improve it.” “We have well equipped infra-structure so students have the required facilities right here. Experienced teachers from various reputed schools are conducting these sessions.” she adds. Every Friday, students are taken for excursions as well. The students are divided into different age groups such as ranging from classes Nursery to KG, I and II, III to V and VI to VIII.

Srijana college of Fine Arts, Gairidhara

If paintings and sketches are what you are good at or wish to learn to be as master at this is a good option for you. Children are taught from basics of sketches to compositions. They are divided into various age groups like 6 to 8, 9 to 12 and till 14. Around 10 students are kept in each group and experienced teachers are conducting these classes. One needs to take the required materials themselves for the classes. Classes are from 11 am to 1 pm.

Kaleidoscope Music & Dance Academy, Putalisadak

For those who have a musical side that you want to explore and excel at then join in. The place offers classes in vocals, guitar, drums, keyboard and harmonium. Each class is one hour long. And you need not worry about the instruments as they have it and you can learn it there itself from experienced teachers.
