Memories to cherish
It feels like it was only yesterday that I got admitted to GEMS. However, it seems like 13 memorable years of my life have passed, in just the blink of an eye.
‘Mummmy, I don’t want to go to school. Please let me stay at home today,” — I remember pleading to my mom 13 years ago.
But along with time I started enjoying my days at school. I came across many wonderful friends and teachers. I still recall those carefree days in class five which were the best days of my school life.
How can I forget my class teacher Jyotsna Ma’am, the sweetest and friendliest teacher I’ve ever come across? If I only had a time machine, I would undoubtedly go back to the year 2058 BS and wish I would have never grown up.
I also miss the inter-house and inter-school competitions where I used to be a familiar face. How will I forget my best friends who always stood by me and shared with me my laughter and my worries? Being an introvert it was only because of their encouragement that I could discover myself.
GEMS is indeed a beautiful garden where different flowers bloom and I am proud that I’m one of them. I am so very proud to be a member of the GEMS family. Today, all I can say is that whatever I am today is all because of my teachers and my school. I might be called the ex-student of GEMS, but I will always keep the spirit of GEMS alive.
I came to GEMS with a vacant mind, but leave today with immense knowledge, experience and memories that I’ll always cherish.
