Moore struggles in the kitchen
HOLLYWOOD: Newlywed Mandy Moore's hopes of becoming a great chef have been burned because her husband Ryan Adams is so good in the kitchen.
The pop star/actress vowed to be a better cook after marrying the rocker in March but has discovered it's far too easy to let him do all the work in the kitchen.
She said: "The lessons are still ongoing. I'm lucky because I don't have to do the cooking at home. My other half is a very good cook. But I can make a mean grilled cheese sandwich."
Moore admitted cooking isn't the only thing she has bailed on since she wed, piano and guitar lessons Adams was giving her have petered out.
She added: "That's not really happening now. I've moved onto the bass. It's been a lot of fun for me to kinda jam at home on that and to have someone there perhaps if I need a little guidance.
“I play a little piano and a little guitar that help me plunk out a melody, but I would like to get to a point where I could play on the stage one day but I think I've still got my work cut out for me.
"I'm a procrastinator. I tend to jump in and out. In fact, I need to be more diligent. I need to move my little amp and my bass upstairs to my bedroom, so that 20 minutes before I go to bed, I can practise every night. I need to be more disciplined."
