Kathmandu:

If you haven’t been to Courtyard Restaurant yet, you have been missing out on one of the best dining venues in the Capital. The rustic ambience created in style and blended with modern architecture makes it the perfect place to enjoy an evening.

Courtyard Restaurant at Putali Sadak on January 8 offered a musical evening with one of the oldest bands in the country — Prism — performing live. The Big Picture, one of the latest event management companies in town, and Courtyard Restaurant presented ‘Blast from the Past’ — an evening of wine, fine dining and a live performance by Prism.

Prism has from the very beginning been entertaining music lovers with live performances. They perform English numbers just as beautifully as they do Nepali. But somehow, listeners have always preferred their English numbers. The band’s performance was appreciated with rounds of unending applause. Rashmi Singh, too stole the hearts of many with her own style and song selection. At the beginning of the show, there was a little confusion and misunderstanding when one of the band members walked out for no apparent reason.

According to the organisers, Dinesh Rai one of the vocalists of the band walked out as some discrepancies occurred. However, despite the slight hitch the show carried on.

The programme that concluded with a sumptuous dinner turned out to be a quality evening for all present.
