KATHMANDU, MAY 19
Nepathya, Nepal's pioneering folk-rock band, kicked off its 2025 USA tour by captivating the audience in Austin with its signature folk-rock melodies.
In a statement, Nepalaya, the band's management company, said the performance took place on Saturday at Emo's, a renowned venue in the capital city of Texas. The band also debuted its newly released track, 'Karnali Ka Chhaila,' live for the first time during the concert.
Following the screening of the songs 'Sa Karnali' and 'Mai Marijaula,' the band officially launched the concert with their evergreen hit 'Koshi Ko Pani.' The audience swayed to the rhythm of the band's seamless blend of classic and contemporary tracks for two hours.
Between performances, lead vocalist Amrit Gurung shared reflections from his travels to remote corners of Nepal and encouraged Nepalis to visit their homeland whenever possible to experience its natural beauty firsthand, the statement read.

For the second leg of their U.S. tour, the band is set to travel from the southern state of Texas to the northern state of Washington, which shares a border with Canada. Nepathya is scheduled to perform in Seattle-the largest city in the state-on May 23.
Lead vocalist Amrit Gurung was accompanied on stage by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.
For all concerts in the United States, arrangements have been made for audiences to purchase tickets directly online. Seats can be reserved through the band's official website: www.nepathya.com.np, according to the statement.
