KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 4

Nepal folk-rock band, Nepathya kicked-off 'Music for Humanity' tour with a mesmerizing performance in Biratnagar concert on Friday.

Unlike other concerts, the band started the much-awaited concert with their popular number 'Veda ko Uun jasto' to enthrall full house audience at Haatkhola Maidan on chilly evening.

As the concert went on, band performed their other smashing hit numbers including 'Chekyo chekyo', 'lampati surati', 'chari maryo', 'johmson bazaar' among others.

On the occasion, band lead singer Amrit Gurung urged the audience to be generous to donate for the good cause, he said referring to the tour that carries a social message of 'Music for Humanity' and aims to support Manavsewa Ashram, a social organization which provides shelter to the homeless.

At the rear end of the concert, band played 'Gaun Gaun bat utha,' 'Resham', 'Taal ko pani' and 'Rato ra Chandra Surya' to entertain the crowd.

As usual, Amrit was accompanied on stage by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niraj Gurung on guitars and Shanti Rayamajhi on madals.

According to Nepathya, tickets for the concert are available online on thuprai.com. The ticket in nine cities is priced at Rs1000 while in Kathmandu it will cost Rs1,500.

After Biratnagar concert the band will travel across the country with their entourage and cover major cities across Nepal.
