Nepathya, the renowned folk-rock band of Nepal, is gearing up for an enthralling performance at Karfok, Ilam, where celebrated literary figures once convened, slated for March 16.

In a statement, Nepathya said, decades ago, distinguished literary luminaries gathered amidst the scenic landscapes of Eastern Nepal, resonating with the melodies of Nepali folk tunes.

Now, the band is poised to grace the tranquil setting of Ilam's Suryodaya Municipality, nestled beneath the serene canopy of Karfok, a locale steeped in history. Scheduled for Saturday, Chait 3rd, this event promises to be a captivating blend of culture and entertainment, reads the statement.

Lead vocalist and founder of Nepathya, Amrit Gurung, expresses his excitement about performing in such a breathtaking locale, surrounded by lush greenery and cascading waterfalls. The collaboration with friends from Ilam promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for attendees.

The concert in Ilam is organized in collaboration with Nyupi Tharpa Choling Gumba, aimed at preserving religious heritage and promoting tourism through music.

"This event not only contributes to the preservation of our religious heritage but also promotes tourism in Ilam through the medium of music," states Hari Gurung, Chairman of the Gumba Construction Committee. The concert is being organized by 'Ilam Gurung Society.'

Tickets for the event, priced at NPR 1,100, can be purchased online via Nepathya's website, www.nepathya.com.np, as stated in the statement.

In the concert, Amrit will be accompanied by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.

Nepathya's global reach, with over 120 concerts in Nepal and 80 presentations worldwide, underscores the band's commitment to promoting Nepali culture on the international stage.
