KATHMANDU, JANUARY 28

Nepal's premier folk-rock band, Nepathya, is set to perform in four cities across Nepal at a time when the country is gripped by election fervor.

In a statement, Nepalaya, the band's management company, said that the tour will kick off at Bhutandevi Secondary School in Hetauda, a venue where the band has previously performed to promote peace during the insurgency period.

Following the Hetauda concert, the band will travel further west to Butwal, an emerging industrial and educational hub, where it will perform at the newly constructed Butwal International Convention Centre on February 7.

Nepathya's next performance is scheduled at Kampa Chaur in Narayanghat on February 10, followed by a show in Bandipur on Valentine's Day, February 14, stated in the statement.

Lead singer Amrit Gurung said the band is excited to return to cities where it has previously performed. "We have regularly performed in these cities in the past and have always been warmly received. We are truly excited and cannot wait to reconnect with our audience," he said. Speaking about Bandipur, Gurung added, "Far from the hustle and bustle of city life, I have visited Bandipur many times as a tourist. Returning this time as a performer feels especially meaningful."

According to the statement, Ramailo Events will manage the Hetauda concert, Back-Up Event Management will organize the Butwal show, Nepal Diariz will oversee the Narayanghat event, and the Khadakdevi Bandipur Youth Club will manage the Bandipur concert.

Singer Amrit Gurung will, as always, be accompanied by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.

To enhance audience convenience, online ticket booking has been arranged for most concerts. Tickets can be purchased and seats reserved through Nepathya's official website: www.nepathya.com, reads the statement.
