Nepathya treat for Bal Mandir children
KATHMANDU: After performing for the children and Women of Maiti Nepal on the December 23, 2005 and for around 700 street children of Kathmandu at the CPCS premises in Dillibazar on January 4, Nepathya is now performing for the children of Bal Mandir (Nepal Children’s Association).
The show is scheduled to be organised on January 24 at a beautiful courtyard inside the Bal Mandir premises.
In addition to the children residing at Bal Mandir, both Bal Mandir and nepa-laya have worked towards getting more children from other children’s homes of the Valley.
Bal Mandir is a government run children’s home where 266 children reside. Majority of them are orphans.
“Bringing back smiles to our children and other socially deprived has been the main motive behind the concert series, and I am glad to see our initiative being well received,” says Amrit Gurung, the front man of the band. “It is indeed a pleasureto see these children smile and dance to our songs.” Nepathya for All series is planned to last show shows.
