Kathmandu:

The winners of the art competition for school students organised by Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town at Shuvatara School on December 15 were announced on December 28 at Nepal Art Council.

All together 52 students from 25 schools had participated in the competition entitled ‘Rotary Art Competition’ — ‘Serve Build a New Nepal’.

Suprima Joshi of DAV School, Bishal Ranamagar of Mamata Bidhya Sadan, and Laxmi B Bhasima of Vinayak Shiksha Niketan won the first, second and third prize respectively. Four students were also given consolation prizes.

An exhibition of the artwork entered by the children in the competition is also on at the venue, which was also inaugurated by the chief guest Sri Lankan Ambassador Sumith Nakandala on the same day.

The exhibition is on till December 30.
