KATHMANDU, JULY 20

Renowned composer and musician Nhyoo Bajracharya is set to perform in the upcoming edition of Paleti, the signature musical series held at Nepalaya's 'r' Sala on the last Friday of each English calendar month.

In a statement issued today, Nepalaya announced that this month's event-scheduled for July 25 and 26 (Friday and Saturday)-will also feature vocalist Banika Pradhan, who will accompany Bajracharya in the performance.

Composer Aabhash, curator of the Paleti series, shared that this edition will be hosted by acclaimed poet and lyricist Biplab Pratik.

According to the statement, Nhyoo Bajracharya is a celebrated and widely admired figure in Nepal's musical landscape. Many of his compositions have reached iconic status, resonating deeply with audiences across generations. Songs such as 'Phoolko Aankhama', 'Na Aau Sapana Bhari', 'Arbaun Manche Haruma', 'Laijaa Chari', and 'Sayathari Baja' have become timeless favorites among Nepali listeners.

Bajracharya also composed the melody for 'Yo Man Ta Talaau Ho', a classic song rendered by the legendary vocalist Aruna Lama-one of the pioneering figures in Nepali music.

Participating in Paleti for the first time, Bajracharya remarked, "I see Paleti as a bridge that connects today's audiences with the soul of modern Nepali music. I will give my utmost to make this performance on such a meaningful stage truly memorable," the statement read.

Banika Pradhan, who is rehearsing with the Paleti team for the first time, said: "The legacy of this stage-shaped by countless legendary artists-is truly unparalleled. Performing here had long been a dream of mine. I had experienced Paleti from the audience's side before, but this time, I have the opportunity to be on stage myself. I feel deeply honored and immensely delighted."

According to Nepalaya, seats for the event can be booked online via www.paleti.com.

Paleti, which began two decades ago, has evolved into a cherished platform for intimate musical storytelling and acoustic performances.
