LONDON: American rapper and singer Nicki Minaj wants to focus more on films and aspires to have a career like Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep.

The 33-year-old rapper, who made her film debut with 2014’s The Other Woman, is a huge fan of the Ricki and the Flash star and wants to do variety of roles, reported Female First. “I want to do something very serious. Meryl Streep is one of my favourite artistes of all time. She blows me away in just about everything she does.

“I love how she can go from The Devil Wears Prada to The Iron Lady, she’s so incredible in that. My dream would be to have that type of acting career, where I can do both things believably,” Minaj said. The Anaconda hitmaker is also working with ABC on a sitcom about her childhood and she is “too involved” with the project.
