As the year 2006 winds down, Biratnagar is waking up to a number of cultural and musical programmes, and some awesome dance parties. December 16 saw the party animals of this industrial centre swing and groove to Surya Lights Rhythm Nites.

Managed in Biratnagar by Creative Eye, Rhythm Nites is sponsored by Surya Nepal and the event organiser is PartyNepal.

The party was attended by the town’s youngsters and needless to say anything else — they had the time of their life. With the likes of Preeti Kaur performing her famous numbers and Nepal’s top DJ’s on the console, the party goers could be seen having the maximum fun.

Nepal’s first female DJ P*Yell earned herself a number of fans, while DJ BMan enthralled all with his style. Even some not-so-young persons who come for the party could be seen dancing after seeing the youngsters dancing with abandon to the Nepali and English numbers. Around 400 persons attended the party that began at 5:00 pm.

Chyangba hai Chyangba saw the crowd dancing like there was no tomorrow.

Though Dharan is said to be the dance and party destination of the eastern region, Saturday’s party proved that Biratnagar has come of party age. Youngsters from Dharan, Damak, Itahari, Urlabari, Birtamod had come here to attend the party.

The people of Dharan had their share of a good time when the Rhythm Nites travelled to their city on December 15. Hosted at the Nirvana Country Club, around 500 Dharan denizens danced to the music played by DJ B Man and DJ P*Yell.
