No need to rush
Human life is beautiful. Every human being has the right to lead one’s life in the way s/he desires. But no one has the right to take away the life of another person.
A small negligence by an individual can take away many people’s life. I am not talking about the loss of life in times of war, I am talking about the various automobile accidents that take place almost everyday.
Last Saturday, a horrible accident took place right in front of my eyes. Two persons on a motorbike crossed the road in hurry, which was unfortunately hit by a truck that had come from the right.
The leg of the man who was riding the two-wheeler was stuck in the truck and the local residents helped pull him out. The pillion rider died on the spot.
That wasn’t my first time seeing a person killed in an accident. I remember a day two years ago and hearing people shouting for help. When I looked out of my window a bus full of people had overturned. Many people died that day.
Locals including my father had gone to help rescue the passengers. When my father returned, I saw blood stains on his shirt. We came to know the accident took place as the bus driver was driving drunk.
Many other such accidents have happened that have been covered by the media.
I have even seen my friends speeding on their motorbikes just to show off. They know the consequences of their passion but still carry on speeding. They forget that if anything happens to them, then its their families and friends who will have to suffer.
I request all riders and the drivers to slow down and be careful.
