No-risk good looks
M y skin is oily and very fair so people always say that they won’t need a mirror while looking at my face. How could I possibly go in for a dry look? Could you also tell me which brand of crème would suit my face because I live in a country where the temperature soares to around 45-50 degrees! Thank you. — Sujeena
Thank you for appreciating my column. As you have a very oily skin you should use “moisture in control oil free lotion,” in the morning to control the shine throughout the day. This lotion reduces the shine on the face and keeps it matte and comfortable. You can also wash your face a couple of times a day.
I am 21 years old and I have always fancied high cheekbone. Is there any way I could materialise my dream? — Sonniya
Suck in your cheeks. Feel your cheekbones tracing it downwards until you feel a natural hollow. This is where you should apply your dark shade. Using a blush brush apply the dark colour making a “C” from the hollow up to the temple. Smile; use the lighter shade on the apples of your cheeks. Blend both colours. Add a little shimmer on the highest point of your cheekbone nearest
My eyebrows are really thin. What can I do to make them look thicker and more defined? I have tried using eye pencil but end making a mess in the end. — Diya
You should let the end grow out a bit so that you can go to a professional and define them properly. And secondly you should use a brown eyebrow pencil so that it looks more natural, as black can sometimes look harsh and unnatural.
The question of the week prize goes to Diya.
