Noise, heat hamper kids’ learning
If you’ve been searching for an excuse to tell your parents why you’ve not been doing too well at school, how about blaming your classroom? It might sound crazy, but researchers have found that the conditions kids work in can affect how well they learn. They found that your friends being too noisy, or your classroom getting too hot, could stop you from concentrating. But things like fresh air and daylight help you learn, and not getting enough could even make you ill.
Researchers found that not getting enough light can make kids lose concentration, sleep badly, and even end up missing school. What’s outside your classroom is important too, as researchers found that having a nice view was good for teachers as well as kids.
