Nurturing young talents

The closing of the Winter Camp organised by Kanti Ishwari Shishu Vidyalaya was held at the school premises on January 13. During the winter camp the children were involved in various activities. According to the principal of the school, Pushpa Singh, the camp was designed with the thought of providing students with recreational, educational and refreshing activities. To help children nurture their creative side different classes were conducted. In such classes the students were made familiar with different activities like picture reading, plays, writing poems, arts and crafts and puppet shows. “When it came to creativeness children have done their assignments to perfection,” said Singh. Experts from Early Childhood Development (ECD), British Council and Research Centre for Educational Innovation and Development (CEDRID) were involved in these sessions. Light meditation, sports activities and cultural tours also formed an integral part of this camp. And the other programmes that the children really enjoyed were talent shows and magic shows.

On the final day children from various groups displayed their artworks and other creative works made for their assignments.

Children also showcased their talents through different performances on the last day.
