Over 5,000 benefit from AP Free Medical Camp

KATHMANDU:

The first phase of the Annapurna Post Free Medical Camp for the flood victims was organised in Siraha, Banke and Nawalparasi districts from August 10-15. Altogether 5,350 persons benefitted from the AP Free Medical Camp, which was supported by Everest Bank Limited and FNCCI. The second phase of the the Free Medical Camp is under process.

August 10-11, Siraha

Number of persons treated: 640 + 660 + 1,700 (Total: 4,000) Places they had come from: Chatri, Katari, Prasahi, Baniniya, Bhokraha, Majhauliya, Nirdana, Chikna, Dumri, Bishnupur, Kalyanpur, Jabdi and other VDCs

Medical team led by: Dr Manoj Thakur

Patients treated for: Viral fever, pneumonia, typhoid, diarrheoa, dysentery, skin diseases and conjunctivitis

August 11-12, Phattepur, Banke

Number of persons treated: Over 1,100

Medical team led by: Dr Kuber Regmi of Nepalgunj Medical College

Patients treated for: Malaria, dysentery, pneumonia, typhoid, skin diseases, fever

August 12-13, Parsa

Number of persons treated: 700 + 550 (Total: 1,250)

Places they had come from: Biruwaguthi and adjoining VDCs

Medical team led by: Dr Aslam Mansuri of National Medical College

Patients treated for: fever, common cold, viral influenza, stomach ailment, skin diseases.
