NEW YORK:

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne called American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar “an idiot” and refused to sing with him.

According to pagesix.com, an insider said that Osbourne was scheduled to perform at the show’s finale but cancelled at the last minute “when he learned he would have to do a duet with the Indian-American contestant Sanjaya. Osbourne said he didn’t want to be onstage with that idiot”.

Guitarist Steve Perry of Aerosmith was roped in to sing with Sanjaya.
