Phew!
I wasted over 15 minutes wondering how to get all the work done. I still had to do my homework, complete my project work, prepare for my chemistry test the following day. And it was already 9 pm.
I didn’t know how I was going to manage all this in just one night.
I decided do my homework first, then the project, go to bed, wake up really early and study for the test.
“Homework for three subjects to be done,” I sighed. “But I need not finish them right now,” I thought. “I can do my English homework before assembly, and as Biology class is after the first break, I can do it during break. And our Geography teacher never checks our work. So there’s nothing to worry about.”
Well, that solved my homework problem.
I had to work on the contents and conclusion for my project. This took around two hours to do. And there was still much left to be done. I had always enjoyed pasting pictures, but pasting 43 pictures is no enjoyable task.
When the last one was pasted, it was past midnight. I was happy I had completed my work but then I had not taken out the printouts. By the time the printer spat out the last sheet, it was 1:30 in the morning. All that was left was to bind the loose sheets. And this I had been doing on my way to school.
The Chemistry test was my only headache now, and I was going to get up at 3:30 am and study for it. With tuitions at 6:30, I just had aro-und two-and-a-half hours for it. No sooner had I clo-sed my eyes, than the alarm started ringing. Putting it off, I thought I’d just snooze for five more minutes.
The next thing I am aware of is my mum yelling from the other room. Half-past-five. “What about my test?” I screamed.
I started my English homework the moment I reached school. I was surprised at my speed — done in 10 minutes. With 15 minutes left for the assembly, I decided to do the Biology homework, too, and was amazed at myself as I finished it in no time.
Considering everything, my day went off smoothly. All homework done, submitted my project. And regarding the Chemistry, I shouldn’t have panicked so much as our teacher forgot about it. Lucky me!
