We have been much influenced by the so-called modern culture, especially those of Western countries. Not realising the importance of Nepali culture, we try and imitate foreign cultures and tend to disrespect and forget our own culture. Thus, it results in nothing but degradation of our own culture.

Nepalis are famous the world over for our unique rituals and rich culture. Festivals, culture, tradition play an important role in a person’s life from the moment we are born till we die. They influence our life in many aspects. All of us should realise how these festivals represent true Nepali jewels.

Spending time with the family and enjoying festivals together give great pleasure. If there is any other joy other than celebrating festivals and rituals in a pure Nepali style, I have yet to taste it.
