Pussycat Dolls take a break
LONDON: The pussycat dolls are taking time off - but singer Melody Thornton insists the girl group isn't breaking up.
The pop band's hiatus has sparked speculation of an imminent split, and comes after reports of infighting and discontent among the bandmates. But Thornton assures fans the Don't Cha hitmakers are simply enjoying their "much-needed" separation and will perform together again soon.
The star tells MTV.com, "Right now the Pussycat Dolls are on a break. It's actually a much-needed break. It's like when you're with your sisters for 24 hours a day and you need to take your own shower."
The break comes just weeks after the Pussycat Dolls were forced to cancel the first dates of their tour with the Black Eyed Peas after lead singer Nicole Scherzinger was diagnosed with an ear infection.
