MUMBAI: It seems Ranbir is still coping with break up with Deepika and wants to avoid awkward situations, as he had dated Avantika for five years, hence won’t be making it to Imran’s big day.

Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently shooting in the US for Anjaana Anjaani, had earlier planned to take time off from his schedules in New York and Las Vegas to attend Imran Khan’s engagement to Avantika Malik on January 16.

However, there has been a change of plan. Says

a source close to Ranbir, “The break

up with Deepika has left Ranbir pensive and aloof. The last thing he wants to do is to attend an engagement celebration. It will only remind Ranbir of his single status.”

Sources reveal that Ranbir dated Avantika for five years before Imran came on the scene. He is also believed to have given the event a miss in order to avoid any awkward scenes.
