Randeep collapses while shooting

NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, who collapsed on the sets of Salman Khan-starrer Sultan on April 17 evening following a severe attack of appendicitis, was scheduled to undergo surgery at Fortis Hospital in the India’s capital on April 18.

“Hooda had been in acute pain for some time, but he is known for his professionalism so he ignored it to complete the shoot on time. Today (April 18) he will undergo surgery,” said a source close to the actor.

According to the source, he was expected to be discharged on April 19. Hooda plays Khan’s wrestling coach in Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming film.

He also had another high profile release coming up, in the form of Omung Kumar’s Sarbjit. For the film, Hooda had affected a startling physical transformation, losing over 18 kg in a very short period of time. This was to portray the emaciated frame of Sarabjit Singh after years of incarceration in a Pakistani jail.
