Rekha to star in Bengali film

Kolkata: Veteran Bollywood actress Rekha would now be seen in a significant role in art house filmmaker Gautam Ghose’s next Bengali film. “Rekha has agreed to work in our next film ‘Yatra’ (Journey). The shooting starts in October,” said the film’s producer Bipin Kumar Vohra here Sunday. “‘Yatra’ is the story of a person who comes to town from a village. It also stars Nana Patekar,” said Vohra, an industrialist. ‘Aranyar Dinratri’ (Days and Nights of Forest). Of late, several top Bollywood stars are making a beeline to act in films by art house Bengali filmmakers. Abhisekh Bachchan played a role in Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Antarmahal,’ while Bipasha Basu has agreed to do Ghosh’s next. Ghosh had earlier made ‘Chokher Bali’ with Aishwarya Rai in the lead.
