RELATIONSHIPS: Bonds of sisterhood
Kathmandu:
She taught me about life, and love and living. I’ll never those lessons.
She taught me how to stand on my own two feet in this world, and for that I’ll always remain grateful.
Maybe having a sister like her must have spoilt me, but don’t ever think that I don’t appreciate her because I do, and that too with all my heart.
She was always there for me when I needed her, and also during times when I didn’t need her. I feel that I have grown a lot emotionally in the past few months that I spent with her.
I also witnessed the hardships she had to face at such a tender age. Courage and hope were her faithful friends.
I still remember when I was in a very bad mood, she cheered me up with the silliest of jokes. I remember her giving ‘simple’ and ‘straight’ answers to all my ‘ifs and ‘buts’. It feels so nice to have a sister like her who is tailor-made with all the goodness for me.
I never thought we’d get so close. I thought she was one egoistic girl when I first met her. But this impression faded away as I came to know her. The evening walks and sometimes the huffing and puffing morning jogs were just excuses to be together and talk a little more everyday. We laughed together at our stupid jokes, which weren’t even funny but still made us laugh our heads off.
She has to leave soon. I’m glad for the time I got to spend with her. I plan to let her know that she is the best sister one could ever be gifted with.
I just want my sister to know that I’ll always be there to choose the best dress for her. I’ll always be there to tease her whenever a guy rings. I’ll always be there to kiss and hug her at times when she feels low. I’ll always be there to lend a shoulder for her to cry on.
I just want her to know that I’ll just always be there for her.
