Rewas brings home award

Kathmandu:

Sanjog Lafa Magar’s first novel “Rewas” meaning “Customs”, which happens to be the first ever novel in Magar language, has earned him this year’s “Gangi Basundhara” award. He received the award in a ceremony organised by Ganki-Basundhara Academy at Shanker Hotel on January 15.

The winner, however, humbly credited the award to Nepal Magar Sangh for raising awareness on Magar community and their rights. He also dedicated the novel to his beloved mother. The ceremony also saw the inauguration of Dr Arun Sayami’s book, “Mero Ankha Ma Jana Andolan 2063,” which compiles all his earlier writings as a doctor vis-à-vis the Jana Andolan II. Cultural expert Biragi Koirala was the chief guest for the occasion.
