Rock Tour 2073 kicks off

KATHMANDU: The rock band Cobweb was on the stage. Its band members — Nilesh Joshi (bass), Sanjay Aryal (vocal), Siddhartha Dhakhwa (drums), Srijan Bikram Gewali (guitar) and Divesh Mulmi (guitar/vocal) were rocking the whole venue with their song Mero Pratibimba. And the audiences were enjoying the concert with headbanging to the rhythms of the drums and the guitars.

The performance was a part of the Rock Tour 2073 concert, and Cobweb along with Sabin Rai and The Elektrix inaugurated the tour on April 17 at Jawalakhel Football Ground. It was a rocking beginning for the musical taour that will

go to Pokhara, Chitwan and Butwal.

Cobweb performed their old and new songs. As they sang their all time hits — Mercedes Benz and Maryo Ni Maryo Ni — audience joined them on vocals. The band’s other performances included soft melodies Timro Maya and Timro Maya (Part 2).

Presenting an enthralling show, Cobweb also performed songs from their new album Astitwa that was released on the same day. Songs like — Astitwa, K Tero K Mero, Raajneeti, Pratibimba from the new album rocked the venue.

“It was an amazing experience to perform before such a huge mass,” shared Aryal after the concert. Astitwa is Cobweb’s 8th musical album that comprises eight rock songs. Shreyaskar Karki, Ritavrat Joshi, Sabin Rai, Prajwal Kattel, and Mulmi are the lyricists of the songs.

Before Cobweb, it was Sabin Rai and The Elektrix who entertained the audience.
