LONDON: Action star Sylvester Stallone made up the character of Rocky to reflect Jesus Christ. Stallone was an unknown actor when he wrote and acted in the 1976 movie. He has recently revealed the reason behind the film’s opening shot of a painting of Jesus Christ looking down at Rocky fighting in a gym, reports contactmusic.com.
