LOS ANGELES: Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan’s girlfriend Samantha Ronson has been admitted to hospital in California after reportedly suffering from depression. The doctors were called to her Los Angeles home and Samantha was subsequently taken to the Cedars-Siai Medical Centre.

“She’s been suffering from depression and from lack of food and sleep. Lindsay Lohan has been helping her through this as she has been through it herself two years ago,” a source close to the DJ told US magazine Life and Style.

Samantha’s friends said they received frantic phone calls from the singer. “She was calling around. She knew she had done something wrong,” a friend of Samantha told the magazine.

The singer’s friends, family and her girlfriend Lindsay Lohan are by her side. A representative for Lindsay Lohan declined to comment.
