Sand fighting to stop release of her sex tape

MELBOURNE: American actress and Playboy playmate Shauna Sand is said to be fighting to stop the release of a porn video she had made with her boyfriend earlier this year.

Sand, 38, said the explicit video, which is set to be released by Vivid Entertainment, had been obtained illegally, and that the company's bosses have no legal right to distribute the racy footage.

"Yes, I did make a sex tape with my boyfriend earlier this year. In fact, I've made several sex tapes, but I certainly didn't sign off on this and Vivid has no right to put it out. I am trying to get a hold of my attorney now," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling TMZ.com.

Sand wants to block the adult footage from being released to the public, but Vivid boss Steven Hirsch is confident his company has done nothing wrong.

"We were approached by a third party, who brought us footage of Shauna having sex with her current boyfriend and we were immediately interested in acquiring it," he said.

"We're comfortable with out legal position in releasing this footage," he added.
