Satirical work released

Jhiti — a satirical ghazal collection by litterateur Surya Nepal was released today at Royal Nepal Academy, Kamaladi. The event organised by Simple Arts Baneshwor was presided over by Tulsi Diwas, senior litterateur. He stated, “I have read his latest work ‘Jhiti’ and it’s very good. Using colloquial language he has made a satirical comment on social evils and family disputes.”
You can hear Nepal’s ghazals on some FM stations or for your convenience Nepal has compiled the ghazals in a book ‘Jhiti’.
In 2000 Nepal released his first writing ‘Jhataro’, a collection of poems. Since then he has been releasing collections. Till date he has come out with a collection of poem, essay and other write-ups. The writer from Jhapa says, “I don’t know what I will write next on but the success of my earlier works encourage me to write again and again.”
