SCHOOL TIMES : Memories of a lost friend
When I was in Class V, I saw a new boy. His name was Tsewang Namgyal. At first we were not close. As I am shy boy, I did not talk to him. Later we became close friends. I spent two years with him and he was with me every moment — in good and bad. We used to be together and share everything. But I never knew that our relationship could end so soon.
When I was in Class VII, I heard a noise from outside that something had happened. Immediately, the school principal called for an assembly. He said that Tsewang was no more. He was killed in an accident. At first, I was shocked and couldn’t believe it. All my friends cried but I did not as I thought I was dreaming. Later, my eyes filled with fear and tears and my heart beat rapidly.
I went to his funeral service where I saw his body covered with a white cloth. I saw Tsewang in my dream where he was playing with me. It hurts me a lot.
Now I am in Class XI, and still I think he is with me. Whenever I see two friends, I really miss Tsewang a lot. He was like my brother.
Though it is true that he is no more in this world, he is always with me in my memories. I will never forget my friend.
