SCHOOL TIMES : Terrors of bullying

Bullying means frightening or hurting a weaker person or group. Bullying refers to suppressing one’s thought throu-gh fear. In these days mostly school children seem to be the victims of bullying. Some students who lag behind are usually physically or mentally tormented. The juniors are bullied by the seniors, be it by asking for tiffin, money or by forcing them to do things unwillingly. Not only seniors, but also some students from the same class bully others. If a child is suffering from a mental disease or has no friend, then almost all the students try to bully him/her. The biggest problem is that though students may be bullied, many of them are not sure whether it is bullying or not. They might also be afraid, so they hesitate to complain and hence parents might not take it seriously. But such carelessness might result in a catastrophe in the person’s life. So the school administration, parents and students should be aware of the problems of bullying and prevent the approaching disaster.
