Search for new Miss Nepal begins

KATHMANDU: The Hidden Treasure announced the launch of its 21st edition of Miss Nepal 2016 in a press meet held at Hotel Annapurna, Durbar Marg on January 17.

Gopal Sunder Lal Kakshapati, Chairman of The Hidden Treasure informed, “Auditions will run in six different cities and culminate into the final round of auditions in Kathmandu on the second week of February. Then 20 to 25 candidates will be the finalists of Miss Nepal 2016. They will undergo a six-week extensive training from the industry’s best experts before the grand finale on April 8.”

Talking about the journey of Miss Nepal, Medha Koirala, Miss Nepal International 2015 shared, “Miss Nepal gave me exposure where I met girls from different backgrounds and understood their opinions. In the International pageant I met girls from 70 different countries and got an opportunity to share Nepal’s culture. For those who participate in Miss Nepal pageant, it is always a win-win situation, irrespective of whether one wins the title or not.”

Sharing more on the experience was Miss Nepal World 2015 Evana Manandhar. “I will cherish the experience of Miss Nepal World for life. I am proud that I represented Nepal. Being one among 114 contestants, everyone did not call me by my name but called me ‘Nepal’. The training and courses during the process of Miss Nepal made me a complete woman.”
