Shah Rukh, Aamir together? Producer dismisses reports

NEW DELHI: Producer Bobby Bedi has dismissed reports that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan will be seen together in a celluloid version of the mythological saga Mahabharata and says nothing has been finalised so far.

“Talks are still at a very early stage. The casting reports are just speculations and we have not yet arrived at any decision,” sadi Bedi, who is managing director of Kaleidoscope Entertainment, that has produced films like Bandit Queen, Saathiya and Mangal Pandey. The company has been contemplating a cinematic version of Mahabharata for quite some time, but it has not yet given final shape to the project — either in terms of the cast or the number of movies that will be made to retell the saga. Said Bedi: “It is too early to talk. We might make one or two or even three. We are still in the process. We will let you know when we arrive at a decision.” If the speculation does finally come true, it would be the first time that the two top Khans would be sharing screen space.
