Shanti Thatal to perform at Paleti
KATHMANDU: Shanti Thatal, one of the prominent singers in the genre of Adhunik music, will feature in the May edition of Paleti concert series at Nepalaya's 'r' sala at Kalikasthan in Kathmandu, the organisers said.
Issuing a press statement, Nepalaya said, Sikkim-based singers Bimala Century Pradhan and Anjali Pradhan will join Shanti Thatal on stage in this month's Paleti concert.
"Working with Shanti Didi, who is in her early eighties, is like attending a music university. Seeing Shanti Didi's creativity inspires me a lot," said Aavaas, Paleti Coordinator.
Shanti Thatal and her team will be supported by Dinesh Regmi on keyboards, Sandesh Maharjhan on tabla, Suraj Pradhan on guitars, Sundar Maharjhan on percussion and Balaram Samal on basuri.
Ticket booking can be done through Paleti's social media pages and through Nepalaya. Online booking and purchase can also be made through www.thrupai.com, paleti@nepalaya.com.np, according to the statement.
The event will be organised at Paleti's regular venue, Nepalaya's 'r' sala at Kalikasthan during April 31, June 01 and 02, the organisers said.
